The first 100 days

The desire to spend 100 days on the road, living in a van, was of course, to see the world, and maybe learn something unknown about ourselves, too. But between the first mile and the last, something odd happened. Our lives became almost routine at times, boring.

I bumped into today's guest Madelyn “Lucy Mad” Ropner” of the late 70s San Luis Obispo, CA punk band Publik Enema at an X show in Morro Bay California. Being a fellow punkette in a one horse town, I had to hear her story—especially about how her band had helped bring LA bands like X to the region way back when. Luckily for us, Lucy Mad was down to come over with a stack of zines and a lot of crazy stories to tell!

99 Projects with Jen Dot (Podcast #27)

Jen Dot (aka Jennifer Larson aka Imma Dot aka Mystery Teacher of the Year) won my heart when, after our show together in Chicago this last April, she gifted me with a stack of her various band's many cassettes and a homemade zine. I soon found that she has 99 projects and a bitch aint one.
